OPEN MIC

A spontaneous gig!

Open Mic gigs are becoming popular in many public restaurants, bars and entertainment venues.

If a musician sings one’s originals, they are paid Royalties, providing the musician applies for them.

Open Mic nights allows musicians, who would not always have a regular gig or venue, to play their own music, to show their music to the public.

They are great introductions for first time public outings for musicians with little or no stage experience.

Audience response is interesting.
Most people at these venues continue to chat amongst themselves, as small groups often do.
However, if a person in the audience has a strong attraction to the musician; they like what they see and hear, they’ll go very quiet and invariably stare attentively at the musician.

If given the opportunity, they’ll speak directly to the musician and offer their compliments after the show.

Best Wishes for 2026
